‘They Will Wear You Out’ – Analyst Provides Eye-Popping Detroit Lions Stat You’ve Never Seen Before
There's no doubt that the Dan Campbell-coached Detroit Lions have reached the upper echelon of the National Football League. Here's a stat that will show just how much wear and tear playing the Lions does to an opposing team.
The stat was uncovered and shared by sportscaster Jason McIntyre, who goes by J-Mac and is a co-host of Fox Sports program The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

The discovery of the stat came in a roundabout way. When the show was discussing the Lions most recent opponent, the previously undefeated Minnesota Vikings and that team's next game against Los Angeles. J-Mac revealed that so far during the 2024 season no Lions opponent has won the week following their game with Detroit.
That revelation led the show to conclude that the Detroit Lions will play their opponents tough and wear them out.

Consider then that a meeting, and a loss to Detroit, sets a team up for an almost guaranteed two game losing streak minimum. Here's how the numbers look:
Week 1 Lions defeat the LA Rams who go on to lose to the Cardinals the following week to start thier season 0-2.
Week 2 the Lions lose to Tampa Bay. However Tampa loses the following week soundly to the Denver Broncos 26-7.
In Week 3 the Lions defeat Arizona who goes on to lose their next game to Washington.
The Week 4 opponent for Detroit was Seattle. The Seahawks lost their next game to the New York Giants.
After a Week 5 bye, the Lions defeated the Dallas Cowboys who licked their wounds during a bye week of their own.
So, what will the future hold for upcoming Lions opponents? If this season's history holds, it's a certain defeat after the kneecap-nibbling from Detroit.
