Michigan Community Devastated Over Loss of Beloved ‘Orange Cheese’
A community in mid-Michigan is devastated after residents learned that they will no longer be able to get their beloved "orange cheese".
A little personal backstory on this, I grew up in the Upper Peninsula, in a town that didn't have this particular pizza chain, so the only time that I had "orange cheese" (or this particular pizza) was when I visited my cousins in lower Michigan. The first time that I ever tried to order it outside of their community, the person behind the counter looked at me like I was insane.

But, in Owosso and Corunna, "orange cheese" was a staple of growing up. The Little Caesars stores there had the option to get "orange cheese" with your order of crazy bread - and it was AMAZING.
What Is the 'Orange Cheese' Sold at Little Caesars?
Full disclosure, "orange cheese" is just cream cheese with a little bit of Little Caesars' pizza sauce mixed in with it. But the folks in Owosso and Corunna can tell you, that combination was life-changing.

Sadly, late last week, a notice was posted on their door informing loyal customers that as of the end of this month (October 26) "orange cheese" will no longer be available. A local took to social media to share the news.
Locals are so distraught by the news that at least two different Change.org petitions have been started, asking the chain to allow the Owosso/Corunna store to keep selling it. Between the two, they've already accumulated over 1,100 votes.
The owners of the store say that the matter is out of their hands. In the message posted on their door, they say that they would keep it if they could. They even say that they have "fought 110% over the past 12 months" to keep it on the menu.
I can see this from all sides - Little Caesars wants all of their stores/franchises to be uniform when it comes to the menu, which is totally understandable. The Owosso/Corunna location has seen great success with orange cheese over the years, so of course they'd want to continue to offer it. And residents who have been eating it for years want to continue to be able to get their favorite condiment because they love it.
Will Owosso and Corunna be able to save their beloved "orange cheese"? I'm hoping so and will continue to follow this saga.
