I never remember where any place is and would be lost without GPS.

I also get too close for her comfort to the bumper of a slow driver in the left lane than I probably should. To my defense, the left lane is for PASSING ONLY.

Forbes Advisor compared the 50 most populated U.S. cities across five key metrics. The analysis identifies the cities where drivers engage in the most hazardous behavior that threatens public safety.

• Number of fatal car accidents per 100,000 city residents: 24% of score.

• Number of fatal car accidents involving a drunk driver (blood alcohol concentration (BAC) levels of 0.08+) per 100,000 city residents: 19% of score.

• Number of fatal car accidents involving a distracted driver per 100,000 city residents: 19% of score.

• Number of fatal car accidents involving speeding per 100,000 city residents: 19% of score.

• Number of people killed in fatal crashes per 100,000 city residents: 19% of score

Let's take a look at where Detroit landed on the list of Dangerous Drivers.

Detroit Is One Of Ten Cities In America With The Worst Drivers That Cause Death

Detroit found itself in the Number three spot of cities with the worst dangerous drivers.

The only other cities that were worse than Detroit were Memphis, TN at number two, and Albuquerque, NM at number one.

One key reason Detroit has such dangerous drivers is the high number of fatal car crash victims.  Another is that Detroit ranked second highest in these categories:

• The total number of fatal car accidents (19.76 per 100,000 city residents).
• The number of fatal car accidents involving a drunk driver (6.54 per 100,000 city residents).
• The number of fatal car accidents involving speeding (6.8 per 100,000 city residents).
• The number of people killed in fatal crashes (21.47 per 100,000 city residents).

From my experience of driving to Detroit for sporting events and concerts, I would agree that there are some incredibly reckless and dangerous drivers on the road.

I've had multiple close calls where I asked myself "How the hell did they get a license?"
