West Michigan Rescue Cat Named T-Rex Gets New Wheels

T-Rex's plight started when he was discovered under a boat in Covert Township, requiring urgent medical attention.

The staff at Al-Van Humane Society, a non-profit, no-kill shelter, took him in and have been nursing him back to health for over two weeks

When T-Rex's story came out the community's response was overwhelmingly positive, with many reaching out to check on his progress and donating money towards his care.

The turning point for T-Rex came when the director of Big Lake Humane Society in Muskegon connected the shelter with a kind-hearted engineer who learned of the cat's situation through TikTok.

This engineer who didn't want any credit created a custom-made set of wheels to replace T-Rex's missing limbs, allowing him to move around more freely.

The Al-Van Humane Society staff is now focusing on acclimating T-Rex to his new wheels, a process that will enable him to regain the mobility he once had.

The Al-Van Humane Society created a shirt that people could buy to help with the cost of medical care.
