Two Michigan Flower Festivals Ranked Among 10 Most Spectacular in U.S.
Soon enough, blossoms will be blooming in the Mitten State. Get your floral fix at these two flower festivals in Michigan getting national attention!
"What's the Best Flower Festival in the U.S.?" was the topic of a new USA Today and 10Best Readers Poll.

A panel of experts selected 20 flower festivals that "allow attendees to enjoy fragrant, colorful blooms, learn about flowers and plants, and simply have a wonderful time. Some events even offer a marketplace of flowers and plants that you can take home with you."
It was then put up to a public vote.
The two Michigan fests in the running were Tulip Time in Holland and the Mackinac Island Lilac Festival.
Tulip Time came in at No. 3 in USA Today and 10best's poll!
Tulip Time takes place in early May. 2024 will be the festivals 95th year celebrating the flower along with Dutch Heritage with parades, musical performances, and other family friendly events.

The Tulip Time festival in Holland, Michigan, makes it obvious how the town got its name. Each year, some 6 million colorful tulips bloom in the area, with over 200,000 of them in the downtown area alone. Aside from the floral spectacle, Tulip Time celebrates Dutch heritage with music, dancing, an artisan market, and parades.
The Mackinac Island Lilac festival happens in early June each year. The festival turns 76 in 2024.

Mackinac Island ushers in the summer season with the 10-day Lilac Festival each June. The festival began as a way to entice visitors to the island with horse-drawn carriage rides amid the island’s fragrant flowers. Today, events include the coronation of the Lilac Queen, a 10k run/walk, lilac planting seminars, a cornhole tournament, live music, and the popular Grand Parade.
