Coming up you'll have multiple chances to make friends with some of the cutest animals out there!

Seriously, how adorable are miniature highland cows? I've been obsessed with Pumpkin, the miniature highland cow at John Ball Zoo and wondering where else in West Michigan you can hang out with these cutie pies.

Thunder Acres Highlands is a farm in Sand Lake, Mich. that breeds and raises micro, mini, and mid-size Highlands and Highparks Cows. The farm is located at 21592 Kimball Road in Sand Lake.

Thunder Acres offers different experiences to hang out with the furry, sweet creatures. I'd get your tickets ASAP though, as these events always seem to sell out quickly each year.

In previous years, the farm offered multiple "Painting with the Cows" sessions. There aren't any on the books so far for 2025, but check back as they may add them.

There are special festivals on the way as well!

Not only can you pet cows and take photos with them, there are horses, mini donkeys, goats, chickens, cats, and a pig to meet too.

Fun activities include corn hole, face painting, rock painting, and train rids. Shop from more than a dozen unique vendors. Enjoy time on the patio, live music, food trucks and more.

Cost is $10 per person and kids two and under are free.

Thunder Acres Highlands also offers private events, like tours and photo shoots with the cows.
