Grand Rapids Chicago-Style Italian Beef Restaurant Shuts Down For Good
Less than a year after opening, a Grand Rapids Chicago-style eatery has permanently closed.
Jack Danger's Chicago-Style Italian Beef first opened at 1499 Wealthy St. SE in Grand Rapids Eastown neighborhood in September of 2023.
At the time, owners owners Cathleen and Steven Lowenthal told Wood TV 8 they wanted to bring a "Chicago Experience" to Grand Rapids. They described the restaurant as "true Chicago - with an eclectic vibe of 80s music videos, Chicago sports, and real Chicago street food".

While a reason for the closure was not immediately given, someone commenting under the restaurant's handle stated, "A lot of people just didn’t come into this area on a regular basis."
