Shaq is known for helping those in need with a plethora of things from food and clothing to education and gifts. He is all about spreading the wealth and helping the world become a better place. Sure, he made millions of dollars while playing in the NBA, but what he has done after retiring has been the real prize. He has opened several businesses that have brought jobs and joy to many around the country.
One of those businesses he has opened is a restaurant chain by the name of Big Chicken. As you guessed, this is a restaurant chain that has over 30 locations in 16 states and locations on the Carnival Cruise lines as well. Michigan is one of those 16 states and there are 3 locations here in the Mitten state. Those locations are in Clio, Livonia, and Hartland.
Big Chicken is known for their chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, and shakes and they recently opened a store front in Hartland, Michigan. Over the weekend, this location in Hartland got a very special surprise as Shaquille "Diesel" Oneal was there in the flesh to take in the scenes.
Shaq would spend some time serving up the people of the Hartland community while also taking time to meet them, shake hands, take pictures, and sign autographs. As you can see in the Facebook post above, he thoroughly enjoyed his time here in the Mitten state visiting this Big Chicken location and meeting tons of fans.
