ICYMI: Rogers, Hutchens Among Eight To Be Inducted Into Michigan State Athletics Hall Of Fame
Former football star Charles Rogers (pictured) and legendary softball coach Carol Hutchens lead eight former athletes to be inducted into the Michigan State University Athletics Hall of Fame later this year.
Joining Rogers and Hutchens are former hockey goalie great Ron Scott, women's basketball's Liz (Shimek) Moeggenberg, field hockey great Floor Rjipma, wrestler Franklin Gomez, golfer Lynn Janson, and track star Anthony Hamm.
This year's Hall of Fame ceremonies are on September 23rd. And the class will also be honored on Saturday, September 25th during the Michigan State-Nebraska football game.
The current MSU HOF is in the Clara Bell Smith Center on campus, and has been there since 1999. It has over 150 inductees, and the first class was inducted in 1992.
