One of my favorite things to do in the summer since I was a kid is to fish. There is something about throwing your line in the water and never knowing what you're going to catch. Even if you don't catch anything, it's a fun way to relax.

With COVID going on, ice fishing could be a good way for all of us to get outdoors and social distance. There are over 11,000 lakes in Michigan, so the question is where.

Now I have never gone ice fishing, but this is gonna to be the year I try it. The question is where are the best places to go? We don't want to sit in the cold and come away empty handed. If you want to learn more about ice fishing in Michigan, check out Michigan.org. According to that website,

"The state boasts more than 150 species of fish and almost all of them can be caught through the ice. Popular species when the ice freezes over include panfish such as bluegill and perch as well as northern pike, walleye and various trout species. Are you ready to get your fish on in Pure Michigan?  Families and friends can enjoy"

Plus, don't miss Michigan's free fishing weekends.

This is an awesome way to get the family together for a fun outing close to home. Plus it can be a great way to do some healthy eating with fish being a healthy part of our diet.
