How Michigan Residents Can Help People Affected By Hurricane Harvey

As residents in Houston and surrounding communities continue to deal with the effects of Harvey, there's a very easy--and safe--way for residents in Michigan to help with relief efforts. Be extremely careful on where you are making a monetary donation or where you may be mailing donated items. Unfortunately, there will always be people out there that are trying to take advantage of a serious situation for their own personal gain.

One of the safest places to make a donation to help with the Houston relief efforts is with the American Red Cross. Click here to make a donation. The American Red Cross is also urging people to call 1-800-RED CROSS or text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation for those in need.
