With so many kids out of school, for who knows how long, it leaves some of them hungry.  In the Holt district starting today and going through to April 3rd, the big blue bus, which says "meet up to eat up," is feeding our area kids who otherwise would probably go with out a meal.

The free meals are available to kids ages 18 and under. They will offer food from the student pantry and other community partners.

Locations for the food stops are Windmill Park, Delhi Mannor, Kensington Meadows, and South Square on Aureilus Rd.

Officials and volunteers who were working today thought that maybe around 50 kids would show up at the bus's stops. Imagine the surprise when 250 kids showed up for the lunches. The heroes at the Holt Food Bank gave the bus 250 take home boxes.

If you want to help, buy any of the items on the list below and then put them in the lobby of the Holt Presbyterian Church.

Here is the list, please help if you can.

  • Ramen Noodles
  • Mac N'Cheese
  • Cereal
  • Cans of mixed vegetables
  • Cans of beans
  • Cans of tuna
  • Peanut butter

Help keep all of the kids from going hungry.
