Let's think back to when we went to school and the fun things we actually looked forward to. For me, it was art, recess, and movies in the classroom, especially when I got to run the projector. Remember those dopey movies we used to sit through teaching us life lessons and health.

The biggest thing many kids back then and even today look forward to in school are field trips.  Getting the whole day off and traveling someplace is fun.  For me, it was the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, and the Museum Of Science and Industry in Chicago.
