
Hepatitis A Case Confirmed At Lansing Restaurant
If you have recently dined at the Steak 'n Shake on Edgewood Boulevard in Lansing, you may have been exposed to Hepatitis A. The Ingham County Health Department has confirmed a case of Hepatitis A at the local restaurant. Officials say that customers who ate at the restaurant between September 2nd and September 25th may have been exposed.
IMPORTANT: If you dined at the Steak 'n Shake on Edgewood Boulevard between September 14th and September 25th, officials say that you are advised to receive the hepatitis A vaccine. Vaccination can prevent hepatitis A if given within 14 days of exposure. Symptoms of hepatitis A include stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, loss of appetite and yellow skin and eyes (jaundice).
