Those of us who are fortunate enough to take for granted the warmth of a winter coat can do something this year for the less fortunate who may not be lucky enough to take that warmth for granted.

According to News 10 the Mayor's First Annual Coat Drive is going on now through December 10th. You can make a difference if you have either new or gently used winter coats, hats and gloves for adults or children that you no longer want or need.

The City of Lansing is asking that you donate these items so that they may be reused by people who would possibly go without coats, hats and gloves without your generosity.

There are quite a few locations where the items can be dropped off every day between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Click here to get more info and a look at the drop off locations from News 10.
