Health System In Michigan Hiring 900 People

It's no secret that there are many jobs to be had in Michigan and all over the country. I was running erands all day on Wednesday in the Lansing area and I counted many help wanted signs and many are offering incentives just to get you in for an interview.

If you are looking for a job or looking for a career change this is the time to really start looking. Many restaurants and bars are still struggling to fill positions. If you work during the week and looking for a way to make extra money in the evenings and on the weekends it's something you may want to consider.

Many Jobs Available In Health Care

If you're looking for a job in the health care industry hospitals are struggling to fill positions right now.  Fox47news.com says Sparrow Hospital in Lansing has hundreds of open jobs, three times as many as it normally does.

Sparrow Health System has over 900 open spots available says Sherry Pfaff-Doody, talent acquisition director for Sparrow Health System.

We have administrative positions for support. We have positions that we call patient-care techs that help the nurses. We have facility positions. We have transport positions, We have lab – phlebotomy positions, surgery-techs,” Pfaff-Doody said

There is a Demand For Nurses

My daughter is a new nurse in Vegas and I passed along to her that there are about 150 open nurse positions at Sparrow Hospital. Yep, Dad's trying to get her to move here. She said she would think about it, but I know she does not like cold winters, lol. She did mention to me that there was a nurse shortage prior to the pandemic and the rise of COVID-19 cases is making it worse.

If you know someone getting out of high school soon you may want to mention health care or nursing school, a great job with great pay and benefits. My daughter loves it.
