Google Says They’re Going To Stop Reading Our Emails. Thanks, I Guess?
Thanks... I guess...
If you use a free Gmail account, here's some good news! According to Bloomberg Technology, Google has decided not to scan our emails anymore. And why, might you ask were they scanning our emails in the first place? In order to advertise to us more specifically.
The decision to stop scanning free users' emails comes from Google's Cloud team; They're trying to get "more corporate customers." Free Gmail users will still see ads, but instead of scanning our emails, Google will pull the info from other sources... "search and YouTube." To read more about this new decision, click here.
