Girl Scout Cookie Bake-off Is This Thursday

If you have yourself a sweet tooth and a sweet spot for helping out a great cause, clear some time in your schedule this Thursday to head to the annual Girl Scout Cookie Bake-off!

The Lansing State Journal reports that this year marks the eighth time that chefs from all over the Lansing area have come together to use Girl Scout cookies in delicious and never-before-seen ways for the Girl Scout Cookie Bake-off! With chefs coming from local favorites such as Bake N' Cakes and Glazed and Confused, you'll be sure to have plenty of sweet desserts to enjoy. But, there will also be some savory food as well. A chef from Gilbert & Blake's will be using Girl Scout cookies to crust some chicken as well as create a balsamic glaze.

The bake off begins at 6 pm at the Greater Lansing Association of Realtors. In addition to all the sweet (and a little savory) treats you'll be able to enjoy, there will also be live and silent auctions. Tickets are $45, get more information here.
