You can add GameStop to the list of retailers that have announced that they'll be closing some of their stores soon. According to a report from Business Insider, the world's largest game retailer announced they are closing 180 to 200 stores world-wide, with more closures coming. The report says that a "much larger" group of GameStop stores will be closing in the next one to two years.

Currently, there are over 5,700 GameStop locations throughout the world. That's A LOT of stores and it probably doesn't help that a lot of gamers are now buying their video games digitally. It's not clear at this point if the closures will affect the GameStop locations in the Lansing area which include locations in the Edgewood Shopping Center, the Eastwood Town Center, the Meridian Mall, the Delta Plaza and the Marketplace at Delta.
