The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for the Lansing area. The advisory is in effect from 2 AM to 8 AM on Tuesday, October 15th. The NWS says that widespread frost is expected east of US-131 and some patchy frost is also possible west of US-131. The National Weather Service says that low areas and open areas will be more likely to be affected by the frost. Keep in mind that the frost may damage unprotected vegetation.

Counties in the advisory include: Allegan; Barry; Calhoun; Clare; Clinton; Eaton; Gratiot; Ingham; Ionia; Isabella; Jackson; Kalamazoo; Kent; Lake; Mason; Mecosta; Montcalm; Muskegon; Newaygo; Oceana; Osceola; Ottawa and Van Buren. Also, Bay; Genesee; Huron; Lapeer; Lenawee; Livingston; Macomb; Midland; Monroe; Oakland; Saginaw; Sanilac; Shiawassee; St. Clair; Tuscola; Washtenaw and Wayne counties are included in the advisory.
