Ford Announces Multiple Safety Recalls
On Wednesday, June 12th, 2019, Ford Motor Company announced the details regarding three safety recalls in North America and one for Canada only. According to the press release from Ford Motor Company, here are the vehicles that are involved in the recalls:
- Select 2011-17 Ford Explorer vehicles--for rear suspension toe link fracture issue--affected vehicles were built at Chicago Assembly Plant, May 17, 2010 to Jan. 25, 2017.
- Select 2013 Ford F-150 vehicles equipped with 5.0-liter and 6.2-liter gasoline engines that had the powertrain control module software reprogrammed as part of recall 19S07--for transmission calibration issue--affected vehicles were built at Dearborn Assembly Plant, May 7, 2012 to Oct. 27, 2013, and Kansas City Assembly Plant, April 18, 2012 to Nov. 18, 2013.
- Select 2009-16 Ford Econoline vehicles equipped with a 5R110W transmission, 5.4-liter engine, and a school bus or ambulance prep package--for loss of motive power issue--affected vehicles were built at Ohio Assembly Plant, May 11, 2009 to Dec. 10, 2015.
- Select 2010-17 Ford Taurus, 2009-17 Ford Flex, 2009-15 Lincoln MKS and 2010-17 Lincoln MKT vehicles--for rear suspension toe link fracture issue in Canada only
