Empty The Shelters Pet Adoption Is This Saturday In Lansing
Today is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. It is observed each year on April 30th. It was a day that was created as a way to raise awareness for thousands of pets that are waiting for adoption from the shelters. It would be a great day to head to your local pet shelter and find a pet to adopt. Or...if you're not ready to adopt a new pet, perhaps you can help by volunteering. The Capital Area Humane Society is always looking for volunteers to help with housekeeping, foster are, special events and more. If you are thinking about adopting, there is the big Empty The Shelters event coming up at the Capital Area Humane Society this Saturday. Doors will open at 10am this Saturday, May 4th. Adoption fees will be $25 for adult dogs and free for adult cats. You can see more about the adoption event below.
