When Did This Business in East Lansing Close?
So much about East Lansing has changed over recent years that I find it looks different everyday. There's always a new business going in, some construction happening, or an old business closing down. That being said, when did this business in East Lansing close?
I was traveling west along Grand River Avenue in East Lansing when I spotted that a business front had drastically changed colors. But it wasn't just the façade of the business that had changed, the entire business had changed.

The V.I.P. Tanning that was once located along Grand River, sharing a wall with Conrad's eatery, was no longer.
Instead of a tanning place, there is a new liquor store in its place. The name seems to be paying a bit of an homage to the former tanning salon.
Welcome to East Lansing, V.I.P. Spirits.
I was curious to know when the old V.I.P. Tanning had closed, so I did a little online sleuthing.

I found a couple of auction sites that listed items from the former tanning salon up for auction as of January 16th, 2024. So, it's safe to say that it's been closed since at least then. And Google also lists the business as "permanently closed"
Any word on when the new V.I.P. Spirits liquor store opened up? Curious minds would love to know.
