Another business in the Lansing area closing its doors. This time it's in Downtown Lansing.

The Lansing State Journal reports that Sarnie Shoppe, previously located in the Knapp's Centre, has closed after less than 5 months in business. Gareth Jones, the owner, posted a note to the restaurant's door this morning that read: "It is with a heavy heart that I have to close operations at the Sarnie Shoppe at Lansing"..."I realize we've only been here for a short period, but the time is right for a business decision to solely focus on catering." That catering focus will take place in Toledo, according to Jones' note.

The Downtown Lansing location was the second of two Sarnie Shoppes that Jones opened. Sadly, the first location in Perrysburg, Ohio is also closed. Read more details HERE.
