Lansing has enjoyed some pretty warm days recently, but of course the weather would inevitably get cold again. What did you expect? It is Michigan after all.

Honestly though, the cooler weather will be the perfect pairing for Downtown Lansing's Brrr Crawl this weekend.

What Is the Brrr Crawl?

This Saturday, Downtown Lansing is hosting the 4th annual Brrr Crawl, and as the name would imply, it's going to be a cold winter bar crawl. The tagline for this event: "Because winter builds character."

If you want to celebrate winter and enjoy drinks and camaraderie at the same time, this is the bar crawl for you.

The crawl kicks off at 4 pm at Midtown Brewing Company. That's also where you'll get your punch card to take to each stop to get punched. From there, you'll travel to a new bar each hour. Some hours there will be a choice between two different bars you can go to.

How the Brrr Crawl Works

Here's the day's schedule:

  • 4 - 5 pm: Midtown Brewing Company
  • 5 - 6 pm: Jollof Afro-Caribbean Lounge
  • 6 - 7 pm: Lansing Shuffle or MP Social
  • 7 - 8 pm: Lansing Brewing Company or American 5th Distillery
  • 8 - 9 pm: The Nuthouse or Sidecar

Besides starting and ending early, my favorite thing about this bar crawl is that it's free to participate in. You just have to register for the event, which you can do HEREPlus, there's going to be drink specials.
