Today, the Detroit Zoo will open their new penguin display. According to the Free Press, it will be the "world's largest zoo display" of penguins. It took four years and $30 million to create, but the goal was to be as realistic as possible for the penguins, while still being comfortable for visitors.

One of the expenses was for the design of an enclosure that will keep the temperature at 37 degrees for the penguins, while still keeping the visitors area at 70 degrees.
