Hey, here's some good news for the new year! If you've been trying to come up with some resolutions for a healthier you in 2019 and you thought that nixing alcohol and/or coffee was a good idea, you might want to think again. According to results from a study done at the University of California Irvine, people who “drank moderate amounts of alcohol or coffee lived longer than those who abstained.” Yep. It's on the internet, so it must be true!

The Travel and Leisure website put up a whole report about the study. Here are some of the numbers they included:

  • Those who drank only two glasses of wine or beer per day decreased chances of premature death by 18 percent.
  • Two cups of coffee per day decreased chances by 10 percent.

They did add, however, that the key is 'moderation.' (How many times have we heard that?) Also, the study involved people who were over 90 years old...you can read more about it by clicking here.
