It seems that the plague of plastic pieces coming up in food products are causing quite a few recalls lately. According to wwmt.com, hamburger and hot dog buns can now be included in this kind of recall.

The buns are sold at high traffic retailers like Walmart, Publix and Piggly Wiggly.

The company who makes the buns, Flower Foods Incorporated, issued a voluntary recall earlier this week because of the possibility of hard plastic pieces turning up in the food items. The recall also includes some other products made by the company. Plastic pieces were found in the equipment that makes the buns at Flower Foods and while there have been no complaints or reports as yet about consumers being affected by the issue, the company is taking the precaution just in case some of that plastic made its way into their products.
