Lansing is a foodie haven. There are numerous local spots serving a variety of cuisines and food types all across town.

Lansing’s Restaurant Boom Continues

Not to mention that Lansing has seen numerous openings over the course of 2025 and so far into 2026. Over 50 restaurants opened in Greater Lansing in 2025, and so far 2026 has seen over 15 openings.

Here's another one to add to the list...

New Sign Spotted on Michigan Avenue

Have you seen the sign on Michigan Avenue near Hayford in Lansing's Eastside Neighborhood? It's a sign for Scoop' N Chill with Bubble Joy.

The sign seems to be for a small building at the back of the parking lot.

In my research to find out more about Bubble Joy, I found its website, and here's what you can expect when this new spot opens its doors:

Bubble Joy brings the authentic taste of Taiwanese bubble tea to your neighborhood with a wide variety of handcrafted drinks, including fresh milk teas, fruit teas, slushies, and specialty drinks. Using premium ingredients and real brewed tea, Bubble Joy offers a refreshing experience in every sip.

When Will Bubble Joy Open?

At this time, it appears that work is still being done on the building that will house Bubble Joy. So, there is no word on an opening date just yet.

The website doesn't offer much to look at right now in terms of the menu. But, it does give a hint that we might be able to purchase soup and other food items in addition to boba tea and ice cream.
