Bored? Disney Animators Go Online to Teach You How to Draw

If you're bored these days, you might as well learn something. And if you're going to learn how to do something new, you might as well learn from the best. How about learning to draw from Disney animators? It's easier than you think. In fact, it's so easy, they taught me how to draw Tigger in about 10 minutes.

According to CNBC, Disney has a YouTube channel offering drawing classes, taught by actual Disney character animators. The videos are usually around 10 minutes and it looks like there's 15-20 classes online.

In 2006, my wife and kids took a trip to Disney World and took a class just like this. The drawing you see in this post is my rendition of Tigger. I'm no artist, and I'm not saying it's award-winning, but I was able to draw something close to the actual Tigger. For me, the take-away was - if you can draw a fairly decent circle, you can draw a Disney character. These on-line classes are taught just like the one we took at Disney World. And, if nothing else, you'll learn to draw a circle.
