The MSU Surplus Store is selling a Spartan locomotive. Not a toy or a model. A  green 1952 EMD 1000 horsepower diesel locomotive switcher engine. With an official Spartan logo on the side.

The school bought the locomotive in 2011 to haul coal cars for the power plant. MSU is now coal-free, so they don't need the engine anymore. It had been refurbished when they bought it and has been always stored in a covered building since being on campus, so it's in pristine condition.

They're asking $600,000. But I know that's nothing for you. Now all you need is a spur track from your house to the campus for game day shuttles.
