Foodies Rejoice! Michigan Sandwich Named One of the Best in the U.S.
I'm a sucker for a good sandwich.
One of my favorites in Grand Rapids is at a place called The Old Goat.
Just about every time I go there, I order an Emily Reuben.
What Are Some Traditional Sandwiches Served At A Deli?
There are a lot of tasty options but some of my favorites included the:
Reuben: Corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on rye bread.
Pastrami: Thinly sliced smoked beef, mustard, and pickles on rye bread.
Turkey Club: Turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on three slices of toasted bread.
BLT: Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on toasted bread.
Italian: Ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and Italian dressing on a hoagie roll.
HyGrade Deli Sandwich Named One Of The Best In America
The foodies over at Food & Wine picked Hygrade Deli's Reuben as the best sandwich in Michigan.
Hygrade Deli is a landmark deli located in the Detroit suburb of Farmington Hills, Michigan. Established in 1959 by Stuart Litt, the deli has become a local institution known for its delicious sandwiches and warm atmosphere.
The deli is located in a nondescript strip mall, but once you step inside, you're transported to a classic New York deli, complete with black and white checkered floors, wooden booths, and a bustling open kitchen.
Hygrade Deli is famous for its corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, which are piled high with meat and served on rye bread with mustard.
What really sets Hygrade Deli apart, though, is its sense of community. The deli is a gathering place for people of all ages and backgrounds, and the staff is always happy to chat with customers and make them feel at home. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you're sure to leave Hygrade Deli feeling satisfied and welcomed.
I don't know about you but now I'm really hungry.
