Be Aware Of Construction Starting Monday In Downtown Lansing

Heads up for anyone who works or commutes through Downtown Lansing!

According to a release from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), starting Monday, the westbound lanes of the Michigan Ave bridge over the Grand River will be closed for bridge work. This project is part of some "preventative maintenance and repair work on [the bridge]".

The westbound lanes of Michigan Ave will close starting at midnight Monday, June 4th, and the will stay closed until the project end, which is estimated to be June 29th. There is a detour in place; Cedar St to Kalamazoo then onto Grand Ave. Get more details on the bridge maintenance project here.
