An Open Letter To: Taco Bell
You see that dogs face? Look at how happy he is getting some Taco Bell. That's going to be me on March 11th. Taco Bell is bringing potatoes back to the menu and I cannot wait!
You may have heard me talk about it a few times. Actually, more than a few times because this really rattled me. It probably seems a little ridiculous that I've been so upset about it but, Taco Bell is my go to fast food restaurant because I love their cheesy fiesta potatoes and spicy potato tacos. So, when they decided to stop serving potatoes last summer, it broke my heart. 2020 was already a tough year, why did you have to get rid of a good thing? Read the room Taco Bell.
That's not all that they're bringing to the menu, they're collaborating with Beyond Meat. This addition isn't directly aimed at vegetarians or vegans either. They're adding it for meat eaters who are searching for meat-substitutes. Have you ever tried the Beyond Meat? It's pretty good and imitates the real stuff, well. Taco Bell’s global chief food innovation officer Liz Matthews says,
“We have long been a leader in the vegetarian space, but this year, we have more meatless options in store that vegetarians, veggie-curious and even meat-eaters will love."
So, thanks Taco Bell. Thanks for starting 2021 off the right way. When 10AM rolls around on March 11th, I'm going to be in there like swimwear. So, if you see a girl shoving her face with cheesy fiesta potatoes at the Taco Bell on Dunckel Rd, mind your business.
