A Popular Candy Will Be Back on Store Shelves

It was back in 2018, when it was announced that the New England Confectionery Company, which is the country's oldest non-stop operating candy company, was shutting down. They were the company that made the popular Sweethearts candies that you see every year around Valentine's Day. They also were the makers of the popular Necco Wafers. When the news was announced, lots of people were bummed because it looked like that may be end the of production of the Necco wafers.

Well, we've got some good news for you because Delish.com is reporting that after a two-year hiatus, the Necco candy wafers are making a triumphant return. And, for the most part, it looks like they're going to be same as the classic Necco wafers, with the same wrapper and the same taste. However, they say that you may notice one slight change to the taste of one of the eight wafer flavors because they apparently have added more cocoa flavor to the chocolate wafer.
