100 Year Old Michigan Theater Converted to Haunted Attraction

Do you like haunted houses in October? How about an old haunted theater becoming a haunted attraction for Halloween? I say bring it on!

Here's the really creepy part, there's an actual haunted theater in Metro Detroit being converted into a haunted attraction just in time for the entire month of October.

It's called "Ghosts on the Balcony," and the plans are to open it up on October 1st. It's located at Birmingham 8, located at 211 South Old Woodward Avenue in Birmingham.

You know me, if it's scary, then I have to check it out. Plus, if this Michigan theater is already haunted in the first place, that's a bonus for people who love to be frightened out of their minds.

“Ghosts on the Balcony” will run daily from October 1st through the 30th and will feature weekend family friendly haunts (ages 5-12) Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. The adult haunts (ages 13 and over) will run Sundays through Thursdays from 7:00pm -10:00pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00pm to 1:00am.

Can I just tell you I've always wanted to spend the night in a haunted house. What about spending the night in this 100 year old haunted theater? Could I actually do it?

I'm not sure if I could make it through the first two hours, let alone the entire night. All those strange noises coming from an old Michigan theater would freak me out!

"Ghosts on the Balcony" has such a scary ring to it, that I can hardly to walk, or run through it. No movies will be shown in the theater for the entire month of October.

The family-friendly haunts will last approximately 30 minutes, while the adult haunts will last around an hour. There will also be food and beverages available, including adult beverages at a concession stand.
