I can’t wait for the weekend. I haven’t had much time lately to chill out. I'm not complaining, though. I'm so stoked to be on the radio again.

What am I going to do with my time? I have no idea.

I'm a busy body. I’m busy at work and for whatever reason I like to stay busy at home. I’ve always been that way. Chilling out for me takes effort. I am not proud of that, and I am working on it. Staying busy at home also means having a fun with my family.

There’s plenty to do in the Lansing area. Movies are fun, Lugnuts games are a blast (they are out of town this weekend) and bowling is a great way to entertain yourself. Not to mention the outdoor activities in the area. There are plenty of county and city parks to check out.

Events and festivals are a great way to get outside. I’d like to see more festivals develop in the area. It’s not an easy task to pull off. There are some sweet festivals during the summertime. The Lansing area has some talented folks that can pull this off.

Around town, there’s often live music at your favorite establishment or one nearby.

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, I did some research and found a wide range of things to do.

Potter Park Zoo

It's open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Potter Park Zoo is a good size zoo, I’m talking 102 acres. Did you know that Potter Park Zoo is the oldest public zoo in Michigan? Knowledge is power. There are over 160 species of animals at the zoo. Check out the camel rides.

2022 East Lansing Art Festival

The festival runs from 10 AM to 6 PM.

The East Lansing Art Festival is exactly that. This is a big event. Walk around East Lansing, check out campus and grab some lunch.

Book Signing - 100 Things to Do in Lansing Before You Die – Amy Piper

I’ve done a lot of things in Lansing. I’m going to have to check out what I’ve been missing. I need to get that book. It'll be at Schuler Books from 1 PM to 3 PM on Saturday.

2022 Midwest iHemp & Cannabis Expo

I’d imagine that it will be a chill vibe. Might want to bring some cash for munchies. It's at the Lansing Center on Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
