I'm not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed that I did nothing yesterday to celebrate National Pizza Day. I know, devastating, right?! (For the record, according to Wikipedia, I also missed out on National Tater Tot Day on February 2nd and National Peanut Butter Day on January 24th...ugh...who misses important dates like that? Apparently me...)

Well, I decided that there was NO WAY that I was going to miss out on today's celebration. So, I did some checking on the internet to see what important day today was...and I was hoping that it would be some sort of food day. But alas, it's not a food day at all...Are you ready...wait for it...today is....

Yep, I know. It's not nearly as exciting as National Pizza Day, however, today is Umbrella Day, a day that honors the famous invention to protect against rain or sunlight. Yawn...

But here's some good news for you...we still have some great 'food days' coming up that we can celebrate. According to Wikipedia, the United States celebrates more than 175 days each year that are related to awareness of a food or drink. For example, 'National I Want Butterschotch Day' is February 15th and 'National Boxed Brownie with Chocolate Frosting Day' is on February 21st.  You can click here to follow along and celebrate each food day. If 'food days' aren't your thing and you would like to play along to other fun days, like Umbrella Day, click here. Enjoy!
