Remember when I wrote about all the stuff laying on the bottom of Lake Michigan?

Little heads up. This Sunday afternoon, at 12:30, Michigan State's PBS station, WKAR-TV, will broadcast "Heroes on Deck", a documentary about the training of aircraft carrier qualified pilots, during World War II, on Lake Michigan near Chicago. There were a lot of crashes during the training and a lot of the airplanes that crashed in the lake are still there. This film will take you down to the bottom of the lake and show how they're being recovered.

By the way, if you're up for a short road trip - one of these planes is the Wildcat being restored by the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo.
