We recently sat down with WITL morning show co-host (and history buff), Banana Don, to find out how we can get tickets to the "event of the holiday season", the WITL Country Christmas Party.

Tickets are free - but you have to win them or go to one of the "ticket stops" to pick them up.

Q: How can I get my hands on WITL Country Christmas Party tickets?
A: You can come see me at Capital City Auto Accessories, at 6000 S. Pennsylvania Ave., in Lansing, this Saturday from 2-3PM. You'll need to be one of the first 25 people in line. Those people will each get a pair of tickets.

Q: Who will be at the The WITL Country Christmas Party this year?

A: You will be, I hope. I will. Stephanie McCoy's a strong "maybe". Oh, you mean at the show? Granger Smith is performing this year, with special guest Jordan Davis. The date is December 6th, at the Tequila Cowboy Bar and Grill, which is behind the Lansing Mall.

Q: What exactly is a "Tequila Cowboy"?

A: In the late 1800s, after the big cattle drives had ended, cowboys made their way south to Mexico to watch over the blue agave plants grown near the city of Tequila - from which we get tequila. The best tequila came from the most relaxed blue agave plants, so talented singing cowboys would  serenade the plants, so they wouldn't stampede.

Q: Wow - they must have been extremely talented! I can't remember ever reading in the history books about a blue agave stampede.

A: It only happened once, during a thunderstorm, but they stampeded all the way to Calgary, Canada. Hence - the Calgary Stampede. They celebrate it every year up there.

Q: One more question. You seem to talk about deer hunting a lot and yet, you seem to just make a lot of excuses about why you haven't brought one down for quite a while. What gives?

A: This interview is over. See the lady at the front desk. She'll validate your parking ticket.
