According to the Michigan Lottery, a 19-year-old from Williamston who recently won $500,000 on a Golden Wild Time instant game has decided to keep $5,000 of the winnings and is giving the rest to his parents. When he turned in his winning ticket, the anonymous player told officials with the Michigan Lottery that “I’m going to keep about $5,000 for myself to invest, and I’m going to give the rest to my parents. My parents have done so much for my sister and me, helping them takes a big weight off of their shoulders and mine.”

He bought the $10 instant ticket at the Sunoco gas station on Williamston Road in Williamston. You can read more here.
