The answer is no.

According to USA Today, Dale Jr. was not cleared by his doctors to drive this weekend at Michigan International Speedway nor was he cleared to drive next weekend at Darlington. Dale Jr. continues to suffer from concussion-like symptoms and is still having problems with his focus--or 'gaze stability'.

So, will Jeff Gordon race for Dale Jr. again this weekend since he's been filling in for the last few weeks?

The answer is no.

Gordon has a 'previous commitment' and won't be able to drive this weekend at MIS. So, who is driving the #88 car this weekend? Well, that would be Alex Bowman. Bowman raced for Dale Jr. earlier this year at New Hampshire.
