Because....polar bears.

If you live in the town of Arviat, on the western coast of Hudson Bay, you won't be trick or treating outside this Halloween - and maybe any Halloween from now on. That's because the local polar bears have been coming into town more often in recent years. Right around Halloween. So, according to cbc.ca, they've decided to have Halloween in the community center this year. Because the only thing scarier than a creepy clown, is a 1500 pound polar bear finding you when you're looking through your bag of candy for the good stuff - and you're IT.
