Here's some awesomeness that could only happen in Michigan:

On September 24th, a guy named William Cawthon, from Dearborn, went to the top of the Mackinac Bridge and played the bagpipes for 15 minutes.

William got a chance to get up there because a friend of his won a charity sweepstakes with the prize being a trip to the top of the Mighty Mac and she took him as her guest. He decided at the last minute to bring his bagpipes. According to MLive.com, William said, "I had a hard time tuning the bagpipes because of the wind but playing up there was pretty cool and a little nerve racking". I bet. I guess I'm a little surprised the Mackinac Bridge Authority allowed him to take those up there - but, good for them and nicely done, William.

And yes - William is a trailblazer, but this story has "future hit COUNTRY music video" written all over it.

And, I'm looking at you, Brad Paisley.
