1836 - Battle of the Alamo: after 13 days of fighting during Texas Revolution the Mexican Army (1500-3000) overwhelmed the Texans at the Alamo in San Antonio. Between 182 and 257 Texians died, including William Travis, Jim Bowie and Davy Crockett.
