Congrats to Cary Shear from Northfield Township. A whitetail buck he shot last November has been named the new Michigan state crossbow record. According to MLive.com, Cary shot the 12-point buck last November 17th in Washtenaw County. He wasn't even going to get the buck scored until his twin brother, Gary, talked him into it! The buck weighed in at 219 pounds and Cary was just happy that he had enough venison for the year.

Cary's buck beat the old crossbow record by an eighth of an inch.

BTW - October 1st ain't that far away.
