A little while ago, MLive.com ran a story that was basically a "police blotter" of a variety of situations Michigan DNR conservation officers faced "up north" this fall. Included was a situation where an officer tried (to no avail) to convince somebody that what they had on their property was NOT a bobcat kitten, but just a regular domestic cat. My favorite line from the report? "The subject still refused to accept the determination and advised they were taking their claim to a 'higher power.'" God would know the difference - so, good idea.

Plus - clowns on bikes - in the woods. I think I've seen this movie. Here's the story.

And speaking of dead deer - you have to buy the license and tag BEFORE you put the pictures of your dead monster buck on Facebook, because Facebook is not as top secret as you would think.
