Wait – You Can Actually Play That Piano At The Lansing Mall?

On Friday night, Eastern High senior Monntel West walked into the Lansing Mall and, while waiting for a friend, sat down at the piano near Campus Den. Instead of playing "Chopsticks" like you or I would - Monntel actually played a real song - and played it well. According to the Lansing State Journal, Sara Hadley whipped out her iPhone and started recording Monntel's mini-concert. The video's gone viral and now it MIGHT end up on Ellen DeGeneres' TV show. Watch the video, then ponder THIS: Monntel can't read music, but he'd like to get some lessons. Monntel told the State Journal, "If I did get lessons, I think I could be better,"

He wants to go to Michigan State someday and study music management.
