I was reminded of this trick the other day when I finished blowing, throwing and shoveling my drive and sidewalks for what seemed like the hundredth time this winter.

But hey, who's counting?

Every time I finish blowing, throwing and shoveling my drive and sidewalks for what seems like the hundredth time this winter, the road crews eventually come along and do their job, which is clearing and salting the roads. While this is necessary and greatly appreciated, the unfortunate part of that whole process is that I end up with a big mound of snow to shovel away in front of my driveway.
