Officials with the National Weather Service have confirmed that a tornado did indeed hit the Bath area in Clinton County on Saturday, September 1st. Initially the NWS said that three tornadoes hit Michigan over the weekend, however, they have now increased the total to four tornadoes. The National Weather Service also upgraded the tornado that hit in rural Mecosta County from an EF-0 to an EF-1. You can read more about the weekend tornadoes by clicking here.

There was some concern about strong thunderstorms hitting Mid-Michigan later this afternoon, however, it now looks like the storms won't be that severe. We'll most likely see some strong winds and some heavy downpours later today. Here's the storm forecast from the National Weather Service. Thankfully, it looks like it's going to cool down a little after today as high temperatures for the remainder of the week will be in the low to mid 70s. I"ll take it!
